Sega has quietly announced that it will be ending Rhythm Thief & the Paris Caper’s online service at 6 PM on September 28th 2015.
The announcement was made on the game’s App Store page. It read: “The game went live on October 28th in 2013, and we have constantly strived to deliver a fun and engaging experience. This decision came as a result of various circumstances beyond our control. Again, we would like to thank you for playing.”
The iOS version of Rhythm Thief & the Paris Caper has an always-on connectivity requirement which means that you can’t play the game offline. This should mean that, if Sega is shutting down its online service, that the entire game will be completely unplayable.
It was also announced that July 28th is the last day that you’ll be able to buy in-app purchases for the game.
