Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival Location Test announced

Square-Enix’s foray into the already-deep rhythm-arcade market, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival, has finally been given the green-light for location testing. It will take place in 2 weeks, from Friday April 15 to Sunday the 17th.

The game’s official teaser site has been updated with the 6 locations across Japan:

  • Miyagi: Taito Station Sendai-Nakakecho
  • Tokyo: SEGA Ikebukuro GiGO
  • Kanagawa: Round One Yokohama Station Nishiguchi
  • Aichi: Nagoya Leisureland Sasashima
  • Osaka: namco Umeda
  • Fukuoka: Taito Station Fukuoka Tenjin

Players who attend the test, play, and complete the official survey will get a limited-edition NESICA IC card sticker, while supplies last. It’s not detailed if you’ll be able to choose a design or if it is simply random:

A unique two-button-two-joystick control scheme is used to hit the notes during gameplay. Of course, the game will be network-enabled for online versus and team play, as well as updates. The game’s official trailer can be seen below:
