Default New Supernova CS Info

Thanks to Nestlekwik of blogcritics.com we have some new details on the PS2 version of Supernova. Please note that this information comes from the upcoming UK release (as he states in the article) and may not reflect upon the North American release.

Quote:
First off - all of this info is taken from the Dancing Stage version of SuperNOVA. While it is highly likely the Konami originals will make an appearance in the U.S. version, there is absolutely no guarantee that are for sure. This info is just a possible lead on more songs that are highly probable to be included in our release.

Screens indicated the points system and the shop is returning to this version in a fashion completely indentical to Extreme 2/Strike. All gameplay screenshots feature the points counter exactly as in E2/Strike and the results screen and shop holds the same points total counter.

And of course the shop is making a return for players to buy more songs and other game features. Unlike in E2, there are no tabs to select between options such as music, character outfits, nonstop courses, etc., so at this point there is no indication what exactly is available outside of music. But the screenshot gives a look at the song purchase menu, which is exactly similar to E2 except in the SuperNOVA color scheme. Most notable on the screenshot are six songs yet to be revealed for a home version of SuperNOVA.

NOW REMEMBER - the capture is from Dancing Stage SuperNOVA and there is no 100% guarantee we'll see these in the U.S. release but they are, in my opinion, very probable.

Gekkou Chou by Asaki
Kagerow (Dragonfly) by Des-Row
Blue Impulse (For DDR/Extreme) by Naoki feat. YUKI Graduation by BeForU
IFuturelist (DDR version) by Akira Yamaoka
Ki-Se-Ki (DDR Edit) by BeForU

I also spotted the song No. 13, but this was already listed by a previous Bemanistyle news item.

There were more songs scheduled in a news release by Konami but these are licensed tracks and while they are known names, I don't believe these will make it to the U.S. version.

Romeo by Basement Jaxx
Hoodie by Lady Sovereign
Right Here, Right Now by Fatboy Slim
Take on Me by A-ha

The release states the above songs will come with their respective music videos included. Screen shots showed one more game play segment with a Japanese female pop group that I'm 90% certain is BeForU - it seemed upbeat, so probably Ki-Se-Ki. So there may be other music video inclusions exlusive to the home versions.

Eye Toy support was also named for the Dancing Stage version and I can't recall whether it has for the U.S. version or not. If it wasn't, then I don't really see it being omitted from the U.S. version.

Even further to the east, the Japanese version is ready to make a showing at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Konami of Japan has placed a splash page teaser announcing the game for showing Sept. 22-24 at the annual event. The splash shows a few screenshots with one featuring the song selection wheel. From what I can make out, here are songs listed on the pic:

Baby's Tears by Miki Roberts
My Only Shining Star NAOKI feat. Beck Lucinda
Flowers by Terra
Flow (True Mix) by Scotty D. Revisits U1
MOONSTER by ???? (I can't make it out)

There is also one more song at the bottom of the song wheel that I just can't make out.

My Only Shining Star and Flow (True Mix) were already mentioned for the U.S. release in a former Bemanistyle news item. I suppose it's possible the other songs could make it to the U.S. version, but there's nothing to evidence that at this point.

I'm not sure what MOONSTER is - if it's a song from a recent Japanese Bemani game, help me out with this one.
We'll have more information as it becomes available to us.
