It's true Konami made Guitar Freaks first, but they never made an official release in North America, all the machines here are off of the Japanese versions. They're going to be hard pressed to convince the american public that Guitar Freaks is not a Guitar Hero ripoff, but rather the game they originally made long ago.
As for going between Singstar and Kareoke Revolution, I've yet to see Singstar with my own eyes, but I didn't quite like Karaoke Revolution personally, it could've been made a lot better than it was. If Singstar took what was good about KR, and changed what was bad, then I see no problem with it. Personally, I didn't think KR ever fit into the Bemani brand anyway, seeing as it's developer was Harmonix. |
