i just cut it off. trying to change anything at the beginning or middle of the song would have taken hours to resync up any bpm changes, to make sure the bpm stayed consistent (especially for real life songs that change bpm constantly), to make sure the song sounded good, etc.

most of the end cuts are only by about 5-10 seconds max, anyways
