Oh ho, it's nothing more than drawing the same line and Ctrl+Z over and over and over. It's a total pain in the ass and takes awhile, but it gets good results.
Though I do confess; I used the line tool only for the front of the head. I was about to keep using it, but the line weight wasn't how I wanted it to be.
