I strongly recommend the Twisttool + SwapMagic 3.6 combo, since I currently use that on my slim PS2 and it works wonders, granted that the A and C pieces tend to stay out of place (lucky for me, I keep two bent out paperclips on hand, just so that I can move it back into place and I keep the A piece in place with a layer of duct tape).
