My question is, how often would using this feature make the simfiles worse? For example when I used Autosync with itg's Disconncected Hyper, I noticed that by the end of the song the steps ended up coming earlier than they were supposed to instead of actually syncronizing them with the music.
Global offset simply decreases GAP values on-the-fly, globally. If a song's arrows are coming up early, that means your global offset from autosync is either too much, or the stepfile had a bad GAP to begin with.
