I got an account over at somethingawful.com about 5 month ago I'd say.
I appreciate reading intelligent conversation, which many members here are capable of.
I do not appreciate or tolerate AOL speak, nearing the definition of hacked english words. That's just lazy.
Seriously, if you read the SA forums for a while and come back here, it really is a mindblowing experience.
I am not mocking or trashing these forums in anyway because I have been here the longest and the people here worth talking to are great, wonderful people. Furthermore the subject matter is right up my alley.
But the 12-14 year olds this place can attract just seem so out of place.. they aren't even trying to come off as intelligent. Even some older folks.
In conclusion, I know it is more work, but I wish we could clamp down on some people so they can realize their antics are not wanted here. (Saying PIU SUCKS u.u in a thread that has nothing to do with how much you like PIU, for example.)
..I guess you do not have to take this into consideration, and if you do not I would still come here. It's still worth it to discuss topics with the people worth talking to.
