I rather play songs with a slutty chick than almost have a seizure with a background video. Personal opinion-games without characters bore me. It doesn't feel right playing as nothing in a game, even if it's DDR. Also, what if I said "Who would want to play Daikenkai on Pop'n Music with that annoying samurai guy to the right of the screen." Dont worry, I'm not dissing characters in Pop'n Music...it's a nice change from most of the Bemani games that have background videos..and Pop'n is all about the characters.

Oh, here's another example. The characters on Elite Beat Agents do nothing but dance silly. Yeah..there should be a option to turn them off...so it can be Elite Beat Nothings.
