Alright, here's that ES information up through DD AC. I didn't get a chance to go over it, but I'm pretty sure it's correct. There are only two things I am unsure of. First, I'm not positive which games require both people to meet the requirements and which ones only require one person. Second, I'm a little confused on how the Cardinal Gate folder works. I always thought they all had requirements to show up in the folder, but BEAT SQUARE has it written like those conditions unlock it in normal play. Any help here? Special Extra Stages
Note that OMES happens immediately after meeting the requirements. In other words, after the Extra Stage song is over, and you leave the results screen, OMES will start if earned.
Konami only explicitly explains how to get ES and OMES for the CS games (and only through Gallery Mode), so I used Beat Square for Arcade information. However, Beat Square seems to get lax about reporting Auto-Scratch/5-key needing to be off as the styles go on. But every CS that has ES and OMES forbids Auto-Scratch and 5-key, so it can just be assumed that you can't use them for all but 7th Style, where I haven't found any information one way or the other. 7th Style (AC Only)
For 3rd Stage, clear a Flashing 7 song with a AAA (Note: Doesn't have to be on Another) on Hard bar, and you'll get Max 300 for your Extra Stage. clear Max 300 [7k] (Max 300 does not have an Another chart) with a AAA on Hard and you will get Kakumei [7k]. 8th Style AC Rules
For 3rd Stage, clear a Flashing 7 song with a AAA on Another using Hard bar and with Auto-Scratch off to get Sakura. If you're playing with two people (Battle or Couple), both need to AAA to get Sakura. To get xenon [A], clear Sakura [A] with a AAA on Hard, no Auto-Scratch. Again, if 2 people are playing, both need to AAA to proceed to xenon. CS Rules
The same, except the grade required to access ES and OMES is reduced to an A. 9th Style AC Rules
Clear a Flashing 7 song with a AAA on Another using Hard bar to get Paranoia Survivor Max. Auto-scratch and 5-key must be off. If you're playing with two people (Battle or Couple), now only one needs to AAA to get PSM. To get quasar [A], clear PSM [A] with a AAA on Hard, no Auto-Scratch (I assume no 5-key as well, although Beat Square leaves that one out for OMES). If 2 people are playing, only one needs to AAA to proceed to quasar. CS Rules
The same, except the grade required to access ES and OMES is reduced to an A. I know for a fact, that on CS 9th, you can get OMES on doubles by following the normal rules for PSM [14k], since it has no [A14] chart. If you do this, quasar will be on [14k] difficulty. No Auto-Scratch or 5-key. 10th Style AC Rules
AAA a song of difficulty 8 on Another using Hard bar to get 1st Samurai. Auto-scratch and 5-key must be off. If you're playing with two people (Battle or Couple), only one needs to AAA to get 1st Samurai. To get One More Lovely [A], clear 1st Samurai [A] with a AAA with Hard bar. If 2 people are playing, only one needs to AAA to proceed to One More Lovely [A]. No Auto-Scratch or 5-key, I assume. CS Rules
The same, except the grade required for ES and OMES is reduced to an A. No Auto-Scratch or 5-key for any of it. 11 RED AC Rules
Everything is different here. You must play all 3 stages on Hard bar. All 3 songs must be on Another difficulty. You must clear all 3 songs with a AA or higher. The last song must be of difficulty 7 or higher (Anothers weren't rated on RED AC, unlike the CS, so, it's a little more difficult than CS). If all those conditions are met, you'll get access to Genocide. To get Piano Concerto No. 1 "Sasoribi" [A], clear Genocide [A] with a AAA on Hard. It can be assumed that Auto-Scratch and 5-key are not allowed for any of it. CS Rules
Just about the same to get Extra Stage. The only difference is that for 3rd stage, the [A] can be rated 7 instead of playing a [7k] rated 7 on [A]. To access Sasoribi [A], you only need to clear Genocide [A] with an A on Hard. Again, no Auto-Scratch or 5-key. 12 HAPPY SKY AC Rules
Similar to RED. You must play all 3 stages on Hard bar. The first 2 songs can be any difficulty, and the 3rd must be Another. You must clear all 3 songs with a AA or higher. However, the last song must be of difficulty 10 or higher. If all those conditions are met, you'll get access to Scream Squad. On top of Auto-Scratch and 5-key, Random and Mirror are also not allowed. Furthermore, in Battle and Couple play, both need to AAA (Maybe Beat Square mistyped?) to get Extra Stage.
To get Mei [A], clear Scream Squad [A] with a AAA on Hard. I can only assume that Mirror, Random, 5-key, and Auto-Scratch are banned. Beat Square also has a lot of conflicting information here. First they say that in Couple Play (and not Double) that only one side needs to AAA. But then right below that, they say both need to AAA in Couple and Battle. So I'm not entirely sure. CS Rules
Neither Konami or Beat Square have specific CS rules for Happy Sky yet. I've had help getting it with a friend, though (2P Doubles, heh). It seems to be the same conditions as AC, except you only need to get an A on Scream Squad [A] to get Mei [A]. 13 DistorteD
WARNING: May not be entirely correct. AC Rules
This one is pretty long. Essentially, what you are trying to do is gain access to the Cardinal Gate folder. You will gain access to the Cardinal Gates up to the difficulty achieved.
Normal: Clear 1st and 2nd stages with a B or higher, and clear 3rd stage with an A or higher. No difficulty restraints.
Hyper: Clear 1st and 2nd stages with an A or higher, and clear 3rd stage with a AA or higher. Apparently, there are still no difficulty restraints.
Another: Clear 1st and 2nd stages with an A or higher, and clear a song rated 10 (9 for doubles) with a AA for 3rd stage on Hard. Random is not allowed on 3rd Stage. Easy is not allowed for any stage.
To access Nageki no Ki [A], all 4 Cardinal Gate songs must be cleared with a AA on Another. Random is not allowed, but it is unclear if Hard is required. On the last one, you go into OMES like any other IIDX game. However, once this has been done once, the clear lamp turns off, and you have to re-clear all 4 again before accessing Nageki no Ki again. |
