Default How has Bemani changed your life?

Well, for those of us hooked on Bemani games, and Bemani music I'm sure that Bemani, at one point or another, altered the course of your life.

How has it changed mine?

Yes, I remeber back two and half years ago when I was first introduced to Bemani from a DDREX machine at my local arcade. Wow, the first time I played it... oh... ahhh.... yeessss... So, in long, I played it all the time. I got hooked. It kept me busy, and gave me some beefy muscles! Without it I would probably be sitting in front of the TV playing games like my brother. Instead I'm a healthy 16 year old who is always active.

HOWevER! That was only step one. After a while I heard of some weird program that would let you make your own steps to a song, but I never gave it much thought. At the time I was happy with what I had. Time passed, I forgot about it... until a fateful trip to Reno, NV. Yeah, that trip was a blast for more then one reason. Well, we decided to stop by the Atlantis for their buffet the second day we were there. That buffet rocked! Afterwards we figured we'd stop by the arcade while we were there. They had a nice arcade. They had a DDR machine, we were happy, but they also had another machine right across from it. "Stepmania Projekt Blue." We were just like, "we're not playing that, it looks like some stupid rip off of DDR." So we just played DDR, but my mom decided to play it. My brother was watching here while I was dancing on the DDR machine, and while he was watching her... he saw... a The Black Mages song!!! He went, "Ahhhhuhhuhhh..." He then played it, but I was like, "It still looks like some stupid rip of DDR, I ain't playing it." I watched him that round, and decided to try it... Thank God I did. I imeadiately fell in love with it, as we played it at least ten times over, and over. It was truely awesome. Katamari on the Rocks was on it, oh boy!! I think remember the machine saying it was powered by Bemanistyle.com.

So, yeah... Time passed, but I still never got it. Until one day I just downloaded it, and then found Bemanistyle. As you can tell by my join date it hasn't been to long. The day I got Stepmania is the day I joined here. Haha, look at me now. I spend waaayyyy to much time on the computer, and I'm here talking to you. If it wasn't for me getting into DDR back when I wouldn't be here.

Bemani has also influenced the music I listen to. When I first started playing Guitar Freaks (again) I saw someone play this song called Black Sheep. Though I had heard metal before I only thought it was all right. When I heard that I instantly thought metal was awesome! Funny thing is that Sonata Arctica isn't one of my most favorite bands, but Black Sheep is definitely one of my favorite metal songs to this day.

Blah, share stories plz ppl.
