I wouldn't really say it's little bs stuff. Your core audience, college students, can usually only work from afternoon to evening depending on class schedule. Also, most people who work through college try to have days off like Saturday/Sunday so that they can have days where they have no obligations such as work or school, and they can use their time to pursue other activities. It just makes sense to me to have it on a day that's not a weekday.
