as far as EZ2DJ, ive played it a few times. the songs dont have the quality of either of those other series. it has a BMIII-esque foot pedal, a rather loose TT, and it uses seperate effector buttons midplay as part of the full keyset (5 keys plus those two).
the only real thing i like about that mega-knockoff is that it had hold notes, which i feel IIDX should have had for a long time. i find myself holding a note equal in duration to sounds that it corresponds to. it feels right, looks good, and is kinda fun (the note holding, not EZ2DJ itself).
the quality just isnt there as far as what it is trying to imitate (IIDX), but it does those few interesting innovations. i think konami doesnt like to implement competitor's innovations because it would make THEM feel like the copycats. (ex. 3 and 4 arrows at the same time like ITG.) |
