Er
Point 1: I have no idea how the
Korean/Asian PS2 release of Exceed sold, but I would not attribute its success or failure to anything we did in the USA; if it was a success, I would not expect the failure of the American PS2 port to affect future Asian releases
Point 2: It's true that the Exceed SE did terribly because there was little to no interest generated about it, but with a mediocre product (Exceed SE's presentation was beyond awful) and a small fan base, Andamiro's advertising philosophy in the USA ("Print five publicity posters and accidentally ship them to a Starbucks in Montana. Promotion? That costs money! Get the players to do it!") really destroyed what chance it might have had of mainstream success
For the record, I enjoy these games, want them to succeed, and try to get other people to play them, but my devotion does not go to the point of being an unpaid PR employee for Andamiro. Not that I thought you were insinuating that we should be; I just felt like pointing out that blaming Exceed SE's poor sales is a gross oversimplification and that Pump might do better over here if Andamiro would bother to advertise.
