Sure, just don't go around saying it was entirely the fault of the American market.
You do have a point about the prevalence of NX machines versus lost revenue from people playing the home versions instead of the arcade versions, but that's why their (and Konami's, for that matter) console releases lag behind their arcade releases; plus, even if people have a good metal pad setup at home, they won't stop going to the arcade, especially if their version is one or two releases behind; look at DDR for another example, the hardcore players go to the arcade whether or not there are home releases, while I'm pretty sure the majority of players (not serious players, just players) here in the US have the console version and wouldn't play in the arcade anyway if they didn't. I wouldn't think that enough people would quit playing in arcades to stay at home and play an old release that it would impact their earnings that much, but then Koreans are
fucking weird so I wouldn't quite put it past them.
Such arguments are pretty much moot, because they're already tried home console releases, and for whatever reason they've decided that those aren't the way to go. I happen to think that they could market one with some success if they really tried, but arguing about it on an internet forum isn't going to change anything.
I think releasing Pump titles on the PSP is a dumb idea, but
obviously enough people disagree with me to make Exceed Portable enough of a hit to convince them to release Zero too. Arguing about it on an internet forum isn't going to change anyone's opinion about that, either, I'm just trying to articulate why exactly I don't like the idea, instead of going around going all LURR DURR DURR, THSI PUMP IS A SUCK!!!!one
Hell, I might even buy it if I had a PSP, but that wouldn't stop me from questioning why they don't release one you can play with your feet, you know, like it was designed for.
EDIT: You
are lucky, by the way. The Zero near me is at Dave & Buster's, is overpriced, and runs on a DX cabinet with shitty pads and a blurry, misaligned screen. NX is an hour away and I can't go but a couple times a month.
