its totally worth it after you figure it out, and in some applications you can turn it sideways to make the keypad bigger. The only reason it had to be heat sensitive was bc i "think" it had something to do with the multi touch screen system and using a stylus would defeat the purpose of using that somehow.
also:
most of the vids on youtube aren't formated to fit the iPhone screen yet (some of the best probably never will) but they're slowing re-sizing the more popular ones (i think and hope)
