actually, the USKOC can be modded very easily. i'll post pics if you'd like. the turntable mod is the same, and all you do for keys is cut out cardboard or plastic (I used a thin plastic organizer ruler) rectangles. I've found that if you cut them out to the size of the inside of the key, your controller will be quieter, or if you're like me and you like loud keys, you can cut the rectangles to be more narrow than the key. then you roll scotch tape so it sticks to both the insert you've cut and the top of the plunger, and voila, a cardboard spacer mod where the spacers won't fall out of place. they actually sound fairly clicky, especially since I insulated the inside of the controller with foamcore board to add to weight and refract sound upwards instead of down into the controller. |
