Pop'n is definitely #1 in Japan for the amount of players and money made. I've been to arcades with as many as 3 machines on a single floor. I had trouble finding IIDX machines sometimes, but DM and GF were almost always there. I'd actually go out and say DM is the next for popularity in terms of play. Last I heard from the charts for arcade games, Pop'n was #1 and DM was like 3rd? IIDX was 7th I believe. I'm not sure how current that was but it gives you a general idea. |
