I'm actually hoping that Dan has turned evil and is now a knock-off of Mr. Karate (with mask) instead of just Ryo.

There were always weird oddities in Dan's story too. For example, in Gem Fighter, when you have Akuma vs Dan, Dan yells OYAJI at him and Akuma just sort of looks away, embarrassed. Dan's father's name is Gou Hibiki, which could easily shorten to Gouki, Akuma's JP name. I'd love to see them actually talk about that and work to get Dan to be a real character with a real story, rather than just some retard that I love using.
