If you want to stick to the Taiko-hitting console versions, 7 is the way to go. Hands down.
As for portable versions, as much crap as the DS version is getting, I find it a touch more enjoyable than the PSP versions. Don't get me wrong; I love the PSP's clean graphics and minigames, but something about the whole tactile aspect of Touch! De Dokodon (DS) makes it overall more pleasing to me than clacking away at the shoulder buttons on Portable and Portable 2.
Keep in mind, though, that the vast majority of the DS version's songlist has already been on previous TnTs (I think GO MY WAY!! and the SMB theme are the only two exclusives). And you can download songs onto Portable and Portable 2, bringing your songlist up to 72, I believe.
Still, I love my DS. Wouldn't have it any other way. |
