Desperate Moves were too different in mechanic to Super Combos (which are more similar to TMNT Tournament Fighters' special moves).
Once again, the Chii system and the Rage bar are completely different things to the bar systems used by Capcom.

... ok, are you sure you know what you're talking about? Street Fighter II World Warrior already had a very solid system which would allow combos to work almost perfectly. With SNK games, it had to take some time for them to learn how to program games which would actually allow you to make combos (Fatal Fury Special, Art of Fighting 2).
Honestly, it doesn't matter how you look at it, while SNK gave good ideas to the fighting genre, the company that deserves recognition for setting the basis for fighting games is Capcom, not SNK.
