Back From the "Snow Storm" to "Dreamin' Sun"
Hello everybody! I'm back for the winter break. I just got done with finals, which were awfully stressful. We had an ice storm here last monday, which I was hoping would cancel my Tuesday Org. Chem final, but it didn't. Tuesday was also the day I purchased the airline tickets to Biloxi/Gulfport, MS. Believe it or not, it was $300 fucking dollars. Well, if I wanted to get out of the snow storms, why not?
It's pretty cold here in Mississippi, right now, but I have gone to play some DDR at the Beau Rivage. A Switch Off in the Conditions of the Pads?
The pads at the Beau Rivage are weakening down to the lowest state. The last time I was here the arrows on the 2P side was absolutely inadequate. Well, now the 2 sides have switched in terms of their conditions. The 1P side is now producing phantom misses, while the 2P side is doing slightly better than it did in the summer. What is going on here? Also, the pads have been slippery. Why is that? I've bought isopropyl alcohol (Sorry! Org. Chem. It's the same as Rubbing alcohol.) and the employees have stored it in the back in case it is needed. To those who have used Windex, I heard that it screws up the pad. I have no idea how it does, but I'd rather stay on the safe side and just use the rubbing alcohol. A trip to Jackson, MS for ITG2
My 3 friends and I took a trip to Jackson today to play on this machine. We drove 3 hours from Biloxi/Gulfport and when we reached this location, we were grateful to see an ITG machine in Mississippi. The pads were exceptional, but the USB card reader was erroneous. We tried all different ways of trying to get the machine to load the custom songs, but it wouldn't work. It did work for the first few times, but after that, it started loading lesser and lesser songs, such as loading only songs beginning with "M" and on up to "Z". I've talked to the white guy who is always behind the redemption counter and he doesn't know how to fix it. However we did try to reset the machine, but that still didn't work. We had an engaging conversation about the life of this DDR --> ITG machine and he mentioned two people: Preston and Lex.
Overall, this trip to Jackson was fun. I loved seeing the names in the food court, like "Turner's Grill: Soul Food" or (my favorite) "4 Real Grill". |
