VJAMix: DistorteD is the followup to VJAMix: Happy Sky, a simfile pack that was released back in April 2006 and has been downloaded more than 800 times since then. VJAMix: DistorteD was actually begun as early as May 2006, but was delayed severely on several occasions primarily due to lack of time on my part. However, I'm pleased to announce that the pack is finally completed and ready for public release. I realise it's now a full two mixes behind but better late than never, right?

The final version of VJAMix: DistorteD includes:

68 pad simfiles (including 15 unlockable secret songs, extra stage and one more extra stage) designed by 22 step authors - Xythar, sanchny, MazriM TaiM, Team Ragnarok (D2RCR), Eggman, BG_Hojo72, the_ditz, PkerUNO, JDM_Deets, PlatinumHawke, TheKnightOfNee, jammitch!, rmz, Omni, Spiritsnare, chickensnack, grayfox9996, otaku1313, Juju, Krazy, FrozenHalo and viewtyjoe.
All files have beginner, light, standard and heavy charts. Many also have challenge. Difficulties again range from 1 to 11 to cater to a wide range of players.

Unlock system where the 15 secret songs (and eventually the extra and one more extra stage) may be unlocked. The extra and one more extra stages may also be played in the usual way prior to unlocking, by AAing the last song of a game in arcade mode for the extra stage, and AAing the extra stage for the OMES.
All songs have a full set of graphics, and most (64 out of 68) songs have BG movies available in a separate pack.
Criticisms regarding VJAMix: Happy Sky have been addressed - all songs in this pack are the original uncut IIDX versions, and both sync and sound quality have been standardised across all the files. I think the overall step and graphic quality is of a higher standard than Happy Sky's, as we have all improved since then.

Please take care not to unzip the pack directly into an existing Stepmania installation. If you just want the stepfiles, unzip it into a temporary directory and copy only the stepfiles themselves across. But of course then you'd be missing out on the theme and everything else

If you can help seed the torrent, that would be greatly appreciated. When there are enough seeds on the main pack, I will begin torrenting the movie pack. I will look into adding web mirrors in the future for those who can't torrent.

Please use this topic for any questions or discussion. If you plan on unlocking the game yourself, you may not want to read any further until you do. If you don't want to unlock it, just turn the unlock system off
