Go out and snag a Logitech Marble Mouse from RadioShack. $20, and the best mouse I've ever used. Been using it for 2ish years now, and I'll never look back. The precision is amazing, and I get ZERO stress from extended use. I purchased one for my friend, who was amused by the fact that I had a non-traditional mouse, and she's been using hers ever since. I purchased one for my mom and sister, who have never looked back. My stepdad who uses our house computer rarely, went out and purchased one of these for his office.

Basically, if you have $20+tax lying around, go out and pick one up. They're amazing for gaming, and the stuff you can do with a ball instead of an entire mouse is amazing (for example, instant 180 in an FPS). The learning curve might seem difficult, but once you use it for about 3 hours, you seem to get the hang of it and start figuring out the little tricks you can do.
