I'm guessing that they wanted consumers to re-in"V"est in the GFDM series because the last GFDM CS release (GFDM4th/3rd) was so long ago.
Just like TELEBI is "Television", the same can apply for investing, hence these new V games makes me say "yes!! just wanna "V"est!".
As for series being labeled "V", maybe Konami was trying to make CS releases become more...."consistent"....well at least for GuitarFreaks.
