Considering that the Nvidia driver opens a critical vulnerability in the SMD driver, I'm going to say its a combination of the two.

My god security, Look, this is the internet. the Feds are looking at you and if you haven't gotten through this yet you either need to stop looking at child porn or get over it. I'm not saying we should all turn off our firewalls and antivirus programs, but we can stop being hyper paranoid. The people who want to look are going to. But yeah, SSH Forwarding is a good way to add security to this.

I want xrdp to be done, so I can install it on a box again.
