Default Bemanistyle Original SimPack

Welcome to the BMSO simpack Official Thread.

If you are part of the pack, or want to be (In which case let me know what you can help with)

please read the following. It is quite important and I don't feel like repeating myself constantly

throughout the thread.

We are starting to make some progress now, so in the next couple days this will be open for people to start doing steps. First of all, I would like to start getting steps done so I will have links to the MP3s of submitted files available for steppers. Before I do that, I have a question to ask. I need to find a website, where I can upload files for viewing, but not downloading. (Obviously I don't want everyone downloading all of the files before the pack is done). Once I have that set up, you can listen to the music and make graphics for them. Please submit things to me through a PM. I don't want this thread filling up with graphics and links (since the graphics get distracting and take up alot of space int he thread, and I will probably look over most of the links). Also this keeps people from being discouraged. When we have graphics by some of our better artists, it could discourage some of the newer people from submiting things, and I'd like to get as much content to choose from as possible. Same goes for music. Please send me a PM with links to the music, so we don't have the thread filling up with links.
Here are a few rules for the submitted content.
MUSIC:
  • ~All music must be between 1:30 and 3:00
~I prefer music to be between 1:45 and 2:15, the only time I will let you submit something up to 3:00 is if you feel that the song is in it's most edited form, and cutting it anymore would destroy the song. I have gotten a couple submissions where the song could easily have 1:00 cut off of it. I prefer this to the long files, since it can get booring or annoying to be playing a song that long. It also makes the step-making process easier.
~Music can be of any genre, however, if there are vocals, please enclose a text file with the lyrics. I do not want profane lyrics in this pack. (I will not be using lyrics files in the simpacks however.)
~Also, when submitting music, please enclose (in the same text file) the name of the song (using the spelling, capitalization, use of symbols, etc. that you want to be in the pack) and the artists alias (using the spelling, capitalization, use of symbols, etc. that you want to be in the pack.) I will make sure this information is in the thread, so the graphics designers can write them correctly. Also include the BPM of the song and any changes that occur.
GRAPHICS:
  • ~Banners music be 418x164 and in .png format.
~Backgrounds must be 640x480 and in .png format.
~When submitting graphics please submit both a background and a banner
~Graphics cannot contain any adult, racist, sexist, or otherwise demeaning/illegal content. This includes the use of profanity.
~You may not use copyrighted images in your graphics without permission from the original
    artist/photographer/whatever.
STEPS:
  • ~Steps should be synced properly to the song, and any BPM changes and stops should make sense with the music. If your charts seem to be completely random/off-sync/stupid, I will not use it.
~Steps should be made paddable, and may include hands and mines, but to make this pack 3.9
    friendly, rolls are not allowed.
~You must include at least light-heavy steps (I may decide to require beginner steps, though until then it is still highly encouraged). Oni/Challenge charts are also acceptable, and even though they are not required, I highly encourage that you include them.
~Steps should not be much harder than an ITG 11 or 12. I may choose to allow 1 or 2 13's, but I will most likely ask a specific stepper to step a specific song.
~For heavy steps, please make them no more than a 10. An 11 may be allowed on a song with a 13 chart, but that will be stepped by the person stepping the 13, so you need not worry about that. Just try to keep them easier if the song seems to feel that way.
~Doubles will not be required unless I get enough doubles steppers to help. If there is not enough interest to have doubles steps, I will remove all doubles steps, and it will be a singles only pack.
~Solo steps will not be included in this pack.
