The easiest way is: right click > Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder
If you using Windows XP.

But if not, better get either:

7ZIP ->[http://www.7-zip.org/]<-

WinRAR ->[http://www.rarlab.com/]<-

WinZIP ->[http://www.winzip.com/]<-
