Should I teach my right hand to move more and use my right thumb to hit 3 and 2 on heavy scratch areas with weird chords? Or should I teach myself how to use my left thumb to hit 2 and 3 while scratching/aid in playing? I ask because a couple months ago I taught myself to use my right thumb and it made scales tons easier, and I jumped from doing 8's to 10's in a month, but I'm noticing scratching is my weak point, especially arcade dimensions (I'm getting a dao so this is an issue). So whats the better route?
This is my exact same position and I can A most 11s and AA 10s. Since you are getting an arcade controller I would suggest substituting your left thumb for keys 1 and 3, which is what most of the players seem to do in the arcade.

I could never figure out how to do this/haven't had the patience to get it, so I never bother.
