Eh, well the walk from the CC to the hotels isn't that rough. The only things in between are the Staples Center and that Nokia Theater I mentioned, which the area around it is usually lit up very brightly.
Even so, should you stay at one of the hotels they have listed, you get to use their
free 24-hour hotel-to-Convention Center shuttles.
Sucks for me since I'm staying with a friend that lives 2 blocks away, but ce la vie.
I don't know about y'all, but I for one don't really care for the live entertainment or this year's guest speakers. It'll be merchandise, arcade, and attending the cosplayers' hourly "wardrobe malfunctions" outside the exhibit hall.
