Anyone here other than me play Taiko DS using two styli? It's a nice alternative to actual taiko drums on the PS2/Arcade versions, but the lack of multiple presses at once on the touchscreen makes it kind of hard. This is why there are areas on the touchscreen to hit for the big notes (direct center of drum for red, outer edge of the drum for blue). When doing a song with alot of difficult maneuvers, you want your stylus to be off the screen as fast as possible after hitting a note to hit the next series of notes.
I recorded a video of myself playing one of the hardest songs on the recent Taiko DS release to show how I play the game with styli:
YouTube - NRS - EkiBEN2000 . I hold the stylus wrapped around my last 3 fingers, held on the side by my thumb, while resting my index finger on top. My index provides downward thrust for fast hits (kind of like index players for Stepmania).
