I kind of got into it from doing the Disko Warp stuff. The Disko Warp producer actually wrote a couple songs for the SMiLE album. I was then asked if I wanted to help with the art of the album. They wanted to go with a cartoony look this time around. I'm not actually the character designer though, its drawn by this TigerFog...

I'm responsible for the production of the art from rough sketch to final design, etc. I'm working on the album package right now, its coming along pretty cool. Hopefully you guys like how it turns out. I'm not a HUGE fan of bubble gum-type music, but when you are asked to do something like this, its kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity.
