I know I don't really. I've been playing for a couple years, and can only AAA the easiest of songs. I've just started playing 1-handed, and already got a few new AAAs, so I'm not sure I'd say that necessarily makes your timing worse. But, like everything, it's different for everyone. |
This is not true. You can get timing easily, but I suggest first passing a 12* song or two. As you start passing more and more songs, you learn to hit more and more notes with better accuracy to keep your bar up. Once you've gotten to that level, go back and play 3s-7s or whatever feels comfortable to AAA, and don't give up after playing the song only once. Play it 7 or 8 times and work for it. Use random, so you get a different pattern every time and you can be more consistent at it.
I was terrible at timing until I had passed a few 12s myself, then I went back and worked on my timing again. Now I have over 1700 Singles AAAs and counting, so it's possible to just "get" timing. A lot of players don't have good timing skills before they start playing, because they've never played a musical instrument or sang or played another music game. Still, you see players rise to the challenge and move to the top of the ranks regardless of their musical background.
