I didn't say you should have it at the start either...ok let me try this again.

You playing through a game. Your pretty much at the end, your about to fight the toughest enemy in the game. you win and you get a really really good weapon.

Now, in order to get this weapon you were forced to go through the toughest area in the game and fight the toughest enemy (as I mentioned). For winning you get a really strong weapon. Whats really your motivation to use it after one or two times?

Wouldn't you much rather have something for your next playthrough for doing something like that.

Let me try saying it this way then...

Why give someone a strength boost for beating the hardest enemy in a game when at that point its obvious you don't need it?
