If you can deal with less ram and less space, then go for it - from an economical standpoint. If I'm not mistaken, 4GB DDR RAM chips cost between $350-500. 2GB chips significantly less. Is the 750GB HD a single HD, or a 500 and 250? Either way, hard drives are cheap.
The additional $500 isn't really worth it if you can survive in the meantime, and 6GB of ram is already a power horse system. But then again, it's an HP.
Oh well.
Spend that $500 on getting Komplete 5.
