Granted, it seems that the there is NO mode for competing against or playing with another machine(s) within the same store..........unless it's connected to e-amuse.
I was kinda hoping though that they'd use some kind of basic lan/network connection to allow for local play involving more than one cabinet.

Probably it would be like X360's system link (where you can one X360 console with another via Lan connection). You don't have to connect both to the internet (XBL in that case) just to allow for play interaction between one machine and another (or others).
Maybe Konami can take note of this feature in future versions of the game.  |
I played with my friend. I was on one machine and he was on another. It was synced. No e-amuse. I am sure it was lan because "Boomers" showed up as our names.
