I've been waiting for an English/international version release for many months now.

Thank heavens for this announcement to come true.

Which means that this thing appears to be "officially" heading overseas (outside Japan). Now that is killer (unlike VF5 which is just stuck in JDM land with plans for an international release shelved by Sega).
