I've done several things with my controllers
for reference, even though i include it, I use a program called GlovePie (similiar to Joy2Key but more versital) to map all inputs from the controllers
Keyboardmania KOC + GlovePie
Set it up using GlovePie so that when i play certain note patterns, differnt things would happen with my PC. For instance playing the first 9 notes of Fur Elise would open my internet browser. This got very compicated very quickly
IIDX KOC + GlovePie
I use this as my music controller for winamp. The TT changes songs for me while different keys change things like volume, play, pause, rewind, skip, etc..
Pop'n Mini + GlovePie
I have all the inputs mapped out for use but I haven't determind a use for it yet with Windows
Drummania KOC + GlovePie + MIDI Contrllers
Using the combination of the controller with glovepie, i can bind the different pads to keys. Then using a Virtual Midi Controller set for Drums, I can play with the DM KOC and it sounds like an electronic drumset when coming out of my PC speakers. I'm sure that I can use this in Fruity Loops Studio, haven't tried yet
Other than this i've done various things
I've used my IIDX KOC to play Guitar freaks, it was fun but aggravating
I've played Stepmania with my Drummania KOC
Also for shear randomness, I tried this out and it was very disasterous but fun. You will need a Taiko Drum controller (i know it's not bemani) Set it so the Left and Right Face (RED) are Left and Right and the Left and Right Rims (BLUE) to A and B (NES) and play Super Mario Bros (NES). You'll have to use your keyboard for the Up key incase you want to go up vines. I need to make a video of me beating the game like this....hmm... |
