I get what you're saying here, and yeah it's nice to see firmware updates for the old models that give it the same functionality as the newer models but I mean this "new" stuff doesn't put it ahead of the iPod at all:
- Clock - Has always been available with the iPod?
- Games - Simple games were on iPod 3G and 4G (never used 2G or 1G) and then more polished games are on 5.5G and up.
- Wireless Marketplace - Is a feature of the iPod Touch
I mean I have the same bias against Apple products that you (seem to) have, but Microsoft is not being particularly innovative with this update.
