The problem with this is that the cymbals share the button 12 and the pads share the button 11. This cause some cross interference or something causing DTXmania to only pick up the 11 and 12 button when you hit the cymbals and pads.

Is there anyway at all to fix this problem/rewrite code/use a shady program in order to get this to work. It's the only reason I bought the Ion Drum Kit and I think I may have wasted $300 lol

Hey, you might wanna take a look at the link in my sig. Not much there you don't already know, but at least you can use my gui reskins.

Dunno why people rag on the Ion set. I love mine. While it's true you need a brain for DTXmania, there's no better way to play Rock Band (if you wanted to buy it). Also, Andrew Rudson (of Drum Machine) is working on getting the cymbals to work.

EDIT: You COULD use Joy2Key (see my sig) if you don't mind your low tom going off every time you hit the cymbal.

Lastly, I didn't know you could post about DTXMania in here? My posts are languishing unread in the session simulation board. I posted up a DTX there too. Check it out, if you want to have a laugh. Dare you to sightread it.

My understanding is that any brain will work as long as you have the Yamaha UX-16 midi cable.
