Best Buy can afford to put a higher discount on one item, but you may want to buy another item while you're there which is not on sale (for convenience sake).
And they already attempted to liquidate some of their assets back in December (they closed a crapload of stores when they filed for bankruptcy protection, but transferred a lot of profitable products out to other stores), the issue though was that they couldn't find a buyer. No surprise really. Bad for the economy though.
