My best friend from elementary school Handsome JET passed away.
It was 8 months ago...
It seems he was riding on the back of a friends motorcycle when there was a traffic accident.
A fellow classmate informed me by phone today.
Having not felt the full impact of it, I phoned his parents, and they simply said "That is already a fact". They also said that they were making up stories to everyone about his whereabouts. I talked with one of his aunts for about an hour.
I felt bad for the aunt and I wanted to comfort her, but too many memories began flooding back and I couldn't finish. The aunt spoke much about him as well.

I talked to the cell phone company to get information about his friend's phone number from the cell phone at the accident. However, they said it was personal information, and refused to get it. The law doesn't really matter since I wasn't even able to attend his funeral. Shouldn't the friend have made sure his friends attended his funeral? What is the meaning of this "personal information protection? Was it because the parents requested it? It must have been a lonely funeral.

The last time I saw him was four years ago. It was when I moved from Kansai to Tokyo. After that, we only spoke by phone. I think he also had me in his heart as well. We both lived always thinking of one another. When people talk about him, I think they will say "He had a short life, but it was fun." I was talking with the aunt about whether he had a girlfriend or wife, but she did not know.
