Twilight sucks in a vacuum, but when you bring it into the context of this movie, well... it probably makes Twilight the worst movie of the year. To be generous.
Let The Right One In doesn't really do much in terms of plot surprises: you can generally guess what's going to happen in the next ten minutes at any given time. However, they execute that WELL. Furthermore, the movie isn't so much about the plot as it is about the setting and the questions it raises. It's kind of like a twisted fairy tale in some ways. Apparently, though, things turned out a bit differently in the book; or rather, the movie left some things out that put a different light on things. Personally, I prefer the movie's ideas better than the book (which sort of patchworks things together to cover all the bases, but ends up tripping over itself). If you have any sense of taste and would like to see a movie about vampires that doesn't suck, LTROI is pretty much the best you can do.
