thanks, as far as TVs are concerned i know where to start but what about ps2 -> PC monitor? or did i misunderstand something? i know i need to get component cables but is that just for an HDTV?

also, is it possible to connect to a monitor? such as VGA or DVI ports? does anyone know the drawbacks of going in this direction? or if it even works? etc..

[edit] what third party component cables would you guys suggest since i cant seem to find official ones?
