What's the general consensus on Ristaccia [H]? I know it's generally regarded as a tough 9, but should it be a 10? I can pass it fine on my JKOC, but when it comes to the spacing/height of my FP7's TT, the last third of it gets way difficult. I can pass Time To Air [H], Karma [A], Snow Storm [H], Contract [H], Mei [H], and Xepher [H]...but the end of Ristaccia just seems balls-to-the-wall impossible right now.

Aside from that...

I can totally see the OP's point. I can never see myself enjoying passing 12s, unless doing so impresses cute weeaboo girls who play Pop'n much more than passing an 11 does.

I haven't come to a huge wall yet, I'm still passing a few new songs every now and then...but I'm sure there will come a time when I look at most of my uncleared charts and just say "NO. THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE." Maybe it's just my amateur perspective, but it seems like there might be a sweet spot around the hard 9s and 10s where you're getting a lot of notes, scales, and scratches...but aren't getting completely screwed over by jacks, complex chord scales, and incomprehensible scratch patterns. There are enough notes for you to pretty much be "playing the song," while not being absurd. I mean, as you get better, your standard of "absurd" changes...but there comes a point in 99% of IIDX players' lives, where you're just like "This is good enough for me," right? Right?
