I've deicded to start a poll on this special genre because it's the most popular, and a lot of Third Person type of people [like me] would easily get into, specially since these games have been around since the 90's[for this genre...MazeWars don't count, DOOM was more popular than that]

I personally choose the Unreal Series because of it's wide variety of mods available to this date!

But I will go with Quake because of it's addictive formula! I can pass the game and just go back to it over and over a few times. The multiplayer aspect of this lacks in mod support in comparison to Unreal Tournament specially since Unreal Tournament developers Epic Games encourages modders to make some add-ons for the community through hard cash contest, etc. What I like about Quake is that you can listen to any Death Metal song and it will 'obviously' go with it...unless the Death Metal is political like Dying Fetus....but enough of that! The amount of gore seen in these games always haunts me begging me to play it some more and more and more...
