okay when reading these reviews bear in mind that i am likely a crap anus at keyboard files and have no idea what makes them good, also if a song is too hard (note: above like an 11) i will put it on autoplay and try and guess at how fun it would be if i had super hands
edit: haha i suck way more than i thought i did, the only song i didn't put on autoplay at some point in time was in game 8 heavy

fffff:
heavy 2/3 there is a lot of repetition in these steps, i felt for the beginning run this was warrented but not for other parts of the song
challenge 2/3 i'd say the problem with trying to match the piano really closely is that it really limits what you can do with the main runs of the song other than bring in an offbeat stab
tilt 3/4 nice song, but the background did not seem like it had a lot of effort put into it
overall 7/10

ichirin no hana:
heavy 1.5/3 i think these steps were pretty good until you get near the end and start putting a jump at least every beat, the jump usage was pretty liberal and didn't always go with the song
challenge 1.5/3 aside from these steps being hard like nails, there's that whole jump on every beat thing that i'm not really fond of. I liked all the jumps on the screams though, that was pretty nice
tilt 2/3 song was interesting, background was completely lame, the speed gimmicks were good in some parts but mainly served to confuse the player
overall 5/10

in game 8:
heavy 1/3 look, if i can do these on pad, then they aren't very keyboardy steps, are they?
challenge 1/3 okay, these are obviously directly edited from your heavy steps
tilt 1/4 your song is boring, your graphics are uninspired, and the song is pretty obviously half the bpm you chose. fast does not equal hard, we have speed mods for that stuff.
overall 3/10

maxx delusion
heavy 1.5/3 my big gripe with these steps is that sometimes the jumps go with the song, sometimes the jumps go with nothing, and sometimes it's really obvious that there should be jumps when there aren't any. the biggest part of that last statement was during the end which samples the intro of tlom
challenge 1/3 a lot of this seems copy pasted from heavy, and the busy parts of the steps don't seem to line up with the rhythms in the song. Once again the jumps are either strangely placed or spammed to artificially increase the difficulty. From what I've played of "good" keyboard steps, the jumps are there to emphasize percussive bits or loud melodic bits, naturally increasing the difficulty. Chucking them in there in big runs doesn't really make sense from that perspective.
tilt 1.5/4 max remix is bleh, the bg was pretty awesome, but the bpm gimmicks were pretty awful
overall 4/10

over there
heavy 1/3 okay, i was going to give these steps high-ish marks, but then that random stop happened, which lowered my opinion of these steps, and then that burst of 16th notes came in, which was completely unlike the rest of this chart.
challenge 1/3 these were really close looking to your heavy steps, and the bursts of 16th notes are not fun at all because they are a mishmash of patterns and are incredibly difficult to follow
tilt 2/4 i have no idea what chess has to do with this song
overall 4/10

storm
heavy 2/3 this song might be hard as penis but i think it was pretty solid with following the song, one thing i did not like was the uneven spacing of the 4th note jumps in that run that starts up once the song gets going
challenge 1.5/3 once again you've got the whole uneven jumps which bother me, you did succeed in making a song harder than penis, though
tilt 2/3 the video was nifty but the bpm stuff at the end was kinda painful
overall 5.5/10

tetris talespin:
heavy 1.5/3 near the end the steps started losing cohesion and stopped matching the rhythm of the song, the stop thing came without warning but was okay i guess, the only problem is that i was expecting the stops to come again when the 16th run showed up and it threw me off guard
challenge 2.5/3 these steps matched up much much better with the song, the main problem is that given the way you ended the song your steps end up being nothing but freeze jumps at the end
tilt 3/4 the stop gimmick worked much better in the challenge steps
overall 7/10

Vairocana:
heavy 2.5/3 i thought these steps were going to be lame based on the first part but they ended up pretty tight
challenge 2.5/3 these steps were also pretty awesome to watch, but i feel like you've done the reverse of what most of the people in this contest seem to have done, that is, you made these first, and then took out chunks to make the heavy steps
tilt 3/4 standard fare
overall 8/10

video out c:
heavy 3/3 okay i had low expectations seeing as this was a long song, but these steps fit it great
challenge 2.5/3 these seemed a little overgenerous on the freezes, and were a lot like the heavy steps in many places, but were still rad
tilt 3.5/4 somehow this manages to be the best sounding song? you keyboard people all need your heads checked for your awful choices for songs to step
overall 9/10

Z3:
heavy 3/3 given a speedcore song that's mostly pure percussion i think these were pretty awesome
challenge 2/3 these steps were also pretty tight but i think you could have done far more inventive things with these steps than jump runs
tilt 3/4 zip zop
overall 8/10

oh that's weird my favorite songs were the last three for some reason
