I was having a discussion with a friend earlier today about the secret to IIDX.
In a nutshell, it's to find a song that you can stand (to listen to, as in you can play it over and over) that is just outside or somewhat outside your comfort zone and play it over and over until you clear, hard clear, or improve your letter grade to what you want. For me, I remember whoring AA[A] for about an hour at a time for about a week. A week later I was retardedly better overall and started destroying scores easily. Then I moved on to GOLDEN CROSS[A] and so forth.
Different strokes for different folks, but I honestly think that forcing yourself to play a song that tires out your hands enough to make them burn can be beneficial. Especially if you're having trouble reading dense charts, it's a good idea just to plow through them. After you've done that, the easier 12s will be cake. |
