Dunno if you fixed this up yet, but the kits will bind to the hardware once they are used. That said if the extra kits included were initially installed on your current machine, simply swapping/downgrading will be no problem.
On the other hand since Dance Freaks is the Korean version I'm sure hypothetically it could work on your machine but only if the kit has been unused prior which there's like a 0% chance of considering there was only one mix and Konami only sold machines and not kits. The hardware on the other hand should be the same.
To my knowledge there is no way to hack specifically an original DMX kit so it will install on any machine. However they seemed to have found a way to do this with DDR mixes which runs off the same hardware so you never know. Hopefully this answered some questions |
